About the Job:
The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting new capital projects from concept to completion. These projects will range in size from $100K to $1 million in scope with an emphasis on automated part handling and “end of line” automation. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager for the Division and will have shared responsibilities in any of the 14 division plants.

Day to Day Work The position involves IT support functions related to the Computer Integrated Facilities Management (CIFM) program. The CIFM program encompasses several areas: Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), Spatial Data Management (SDM), Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). GIS and BIM are new in the region; involvement with these areas is expected to grow in the future. Knowledge and skill in CAD is important; however, duties primarily focus on configuration, testing, and maintenance of CIFM software. A secondary set of duties involve programming, data analysis and application development related to CIFM data as well as other areas in company, e.g., building data, project data. CIFM Software Application Support (55%) Serve as primary point of contact in the region regarding implementation and technical support for applications for the Computer Integrated Facilities Management (CIFM) program as defined in Background section. Familiarity with the design and construction industry and reading blueprints is helpful in dealing with subject matter. Applications can COTS or locally developed. Examples of the CIFM applications include, but are not limited to, AutoCAD, Map, MapGuide, TrueView, AutoVue, Design Review, Rasterex RXSpotlight, Spicer Imagination, Vice Versa, AutoCAD Architecture, Raster Design, IntaNETIX, Documentum, Drawing Analysis Program (DAP), Autodesk Symbols, and ScriptPro. • Candidate should have ability to support existing custom applications and develop new custom applications as necessary. • Candidate should be familiar with CAD standards, participate on (or chair) standards committees. This includes answering questions posed by staff and external contractors. • Candidate should be familiar with CAD repositories, and act as backup for document requests. Fill requests for graphical queries either manually or through automation. Fill requests for manual changes to drawing content. • Candidate should have ability to test new software releases of CIFM applications to ensure suitability for environment, integration with business processes, and impact upon CIFM standards. Ensure problems are resolved and utilize existing help desk tracking software to record actions, status and resolution. • Maintain and enhance CIFM applications developed locally in the region utilizing but not limited to Visual Studio .Net with C#, AJAX, ASP.Net, ADO, SQL, VBA, LISP, MS Access and Excel. • Develop new CIFM applications for the region utilizing but not limited to Visual Studio .Net with C#, AJAX, ASP.Net, ADO, SQL, VBA, LISP, MS Access and Excel. • Periodically prepare training manuals, offer training and give presentations for national and CIFM applications. • Support plotters, multi-function units, scanners, and any other specialty hardware which is related to the CIFM program. This includes product research and replacement. • Attend conferences and training sessions as deemed necessary by company. • Participate as technical expert on contract selection panels regarding evaluation of CIFM related technology. Application Development and Web Development and Support (35%) • Perform requirements analysis, develop, maintain, update and implement web applications in .Net environment utilizing but not limited to Visual Studio .Net with C#, AJAX, ASP.Net, ADO, SQL, report software, e.g., Crystal Reports, Active Reports, Business Objects, MS SQL Server and other related tools that adhere to company standards for web applications. • Perform requirements analysis, develop, maintain, update and implement Microsoft based applications using VBA code, macros and ODBC configurations for Access database applications and Excel spreadsheets. • Perform requirements analysis, develop, maintain, update and implement applications on Oracle Application server utilizing but not limited to Oracle J-Developer, SQL and other Oracle development tools that adhere to company standards for integrated development environment of major web applications. • Perform requirements analysis, develop, maintain, update and implement SQL, procedures, PL/SQL, triggers, functions, etc., on Oracle Database server associated with Oracle applications, web pages and Lotus Notes applications. • Coordinate with DBA to create and update schemas, tables, indexes, permissions, roles and other database objects for Oracle and SQL Server development projects utilizing but not limited to Tools for Oracle Application Developers (TOAD) and other software development tools. • Perform requirements analysis, develop, maintain, update and implement web pages for intranet web site, utilizing but not limited to Cold Fusion, Java Script, SQL, XML, Flash, .Net, ASP.NET and Lotus Notes Domino. • Develop, maintain and update graphics (i.e. transparent images and animated gifs) utilizing but not limited to applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Flash. • Coordinate intranet development and updates with web master. • Conduct customer oriented activities: determine needs, document requirements, propose solutions, create design mockups, coordinate testing, prepare documentation encompassing the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and provide training and trouble call support for applications maintained by the Team. - Works independently and in tandem with Designers to complete assigned projects. Requires limited supervision on most work.
Requirements:
- Must have Per pixel lighting experience, and thorough understanding of its performance optimization.
- Must have thorough understanding of shading models both real time, and non real-time.
- Previous shader writing e.g. Renderman, Mental Ray a plus.
- Image processing and traditional compositing paradigms.
- Thorough understanding lighting Models, and paradigms. e.g. HDRI, Global illumination, Ambient Occlusion, etc.
- Experience with Maya, Photoshop, Unreal, Doom3, Zbrush2, Microsoft Office Suite
- At least 4 years experience in video game industry
Pluses:
- Strong architecture or traditional art background
- Cinematography experience
- 3D tile experience
- Turtle Renderer knowledge
