- Immediate contract opportunity for a Technical Illustrator to work in the QA division of a great company.
- Located right in northern Virginia, an opportunity that is close to all; transportation, restaurants, shopping, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Produce quality technical illustrations supporting the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM)
- Update/modify existing graphics ensuring quality and conformance with current standards and processes
- Enforce quality requirements to include responding to corrective actions and provide related informal instruction to customer
- Attend and participate in meetings and briefings within a product team environment
- Provide guidance to IT personnel on the data elements for delivery of IETM content and provide on-site support to test activities (travel as required)
- Develop and maintain IETM quality metrics related to graphics/illustration reviews as required
Requirements:
- Prior experience in the areas of technical illustrating, graphics development and content development
- 3D graphics and content development/ authoring tools, i.e., AutoDesk 3dS Max, Adobe Production Premium Suite, Adobe C3, etc. and Microsoft Office products
- Occasional overtime, weekend and off-hours as well as occasional travel in support of IETM management
- Knowledge of preparing and maintaining illustrations/graphics for technical content (within Military environment is highly desirable)
- Knowledge of CAD tools (ProEngineer, PTC suite) desirable
