About the Job:
The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting new capital projects from concept to completion. These projects will range in size from $100K to $1 million in scope with an emphasis on automated part handling and “end of line” automation. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager for the Division and will have shared responsibilities in any of the 14 division plants.
- Must possess strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD programs: AutoCAD LT, Solidworks
- Proficient with machine vision: DVT, Cognex, Keyence
- Advance knowledge of automation system design and layout
- Installation experience, both mechanical and electrical
- Extensive PLC and HMI programming experience: AB SLC500, Contrologix5000, S7, PanelBuilder, RSView and Visual Basic
- Will design and coordinate construction of automated assembly equipment, inspection equipment and robotic work-cells
- Will create instructions and standard operating procedures for use in equipment implementation
- Will train production and maintenance departments in the use and maintenance of equipment
Qualification:
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Integrated Manufacturing preferred. Associate Degree considered in combination with relevant work experience.
- Travel 25 – 50%. Richmond, Indiana facility as home base.
- 3 – 5 years of automation design and implementation required
