Autodesk Inventor Career & Job for Senior Mechanical Engineer w/Blower based technology: Kforce Technology Staffing
Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in product architecture development and the creation of system level specifications
- Supervises other engineers and technicians in the development of design documentation and product testing
- Develops design specifications to meet system level requirements, regulatory standards
- Performs required design analysis to show design is capable of meeting specifications
- Creates design documentation using a CAD system specifying manufacturing requirements
- Fabricates and assembles prototype systems working with suppliers
- Develops test procedures and test systems to demonstrate compliance to specifications
- Writes test reports describing test procedures, equipment, methods and test results
- Works as a team member to prepare project plans including budget, scope, schedule and resources
Requirements Include:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
- 5-7 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, medical device design experience is preferred
- Experience developing in a CAD environment
- Experience with designing rotational equipment with fluid dynamics is a plus
- Experience leading other engineers
- Experience with various production methods and releasing products into manufacturing
- Problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and cross functional team skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Expanded Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- 5-7 years of mechanical design experience working in a product development environment. Medical device product development is preferred
- Has experience actively participating in the development of mechanical systems from concept and feasibility (C/F), prototyping, testing and release to manufacturing, adhering to standard Engineering Change (EC) procedures and practices
- Familiar with Product Life-cycle Management (PLM) tools, AGILE is preferred
- Experience designing components and subassemblies using standard materials and fabrication methods: CNC Machining, Sheet metal, plastic and metal injection molding, welding, etc.
- Design experience using servo valves, flow sensors, air compressors, check valves, etc., aimed at designing and packaging pneumatic systems used for air/O2 gas delivery is preferred
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD/T) using ASME Y14.5M-1994 standards
- 2-3 years of active use of 3D parametric modeling tools such as PRO-E, Soildworks, Autodesk Inventor; Solidworks is preferred
- Worked in cross functional team environments interacting with a variety of experts including mechanical, electrical, software, and technician personnel
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
