AutoCAD Technician – Afghanistan
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are self-starters with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. AutoCAD technicians will assist Electrical Engineers, utilizing drafting methods and instruments to create and update electrical plans, schematic and other engineering-related work as requested by the in-theater engineering and construction staff. Experience working in a military environment or for an international engineering services provider or similar organization would be ideal, as would experience working in remote sites or in other arduous environments. In this role, you will take all steps necessary to meet aggressively accelerated deadlines typical of a contingency environment.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
- Competitive base salary plus 35% Danger Pay plus an additional 35% post differential pay for time worked in Afghanistan (In-Theater) for a minimum of 42 days and is retroactive.
- CNA USACE Defense Base Insurance is provided.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Employment is project-based and will take place on US Military Bases throughout Afghanistan, for a duration ranging from 4 to 16 months.
- Estimated hiring date is late August,2009 with an estimated deployment set for mid-September, 2009. Minimum deployment duration in Afghanistan is 90 days.
- Working hours will be 12 hours a day, 6 days a week.
- Candidate will be required to have, or be able to obtain, U.S. Security Clearance for this role.
- 3 to 5 years of AutoCAD experience preferred in an electrical or power distribution engineering environment.
